Commemoration of the Second Anniversary of the London Bridge Attack

The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. – Revelation 22.2

On Monday 3 June we will be marking the second anniversary of the attack which will happen during the offical inquest at the Old Bailey.  You are very welcome to join us for any or all of what will be happening on this evening. 

5.30pm  - Memorial Evensong and Procession to the Tree of Healing

The service will be sung by the girls and men of the Cathedral Choir during which candles will be lit for those who died. At the end of the service all will be invited to process into the churchyard to the Tree of Healing, blessed at the First Anniversary Service by the Bishop of Southwark, where an Act of Remembrance will be held.

The Cathedral will remain open all evening for people to come in and out to light candles, to leave flowers at the Tree of Healing, to sit and pray.

9.58pm - Compline (Night Prayer)

A special service of Compline begins at the moment that the attack began. The service concludes in silence at 10.16pm, the moment the attack was brought to an end and the Cathedral will then close.
