EYFS: God’s World
In the Cathedral setting, children will participate in an interactive retelling of the 7-day Creation Story found in Genesis. Following this, they will explore the churchyard and find evidence of Creation. Returning to the Education Centre for the final part of their activity, children will focus on themselves as unique creations, producing a self-portrait which will form part of a class collage.
KS1: God’s World
An interactive retelling of the 7-day Creation Story found in Genesis will lead children into an exploration of the Cathedral’s Creation Window, encouraging them to think about the impact of the Creation Story and its significance for Christians. Returning to the Education Centre for the second part of their workshop, children will have the opportunity to explore different representations of the days of creation in art before creating a stained glass window of their own to represent one of the days.
