Risk Assessment advice
The following advice is designed to assist you with your planning. It is not intended to replace your own risk assessment but will hopefully help you to compile it. Please refer to your own school/Local Authority/diocesan guidelines.
We strongly advise that the member of staff makes a preparation visit, in advance, to the Cathedral in order to carry out a risk assessment.

Guidelines for visiting schools / groups
Please ensure that you plan your visit carefully and that you brief your adult helpers so that they know what is expected of them on the day.
Please also prepare the children for your visit. It is helpful if they have been introduced to key concepts and vocabulary relating to the day’s activities.
